On Tuesday of this week, we attended a member-only, evening event that took place at the New England Aquarium in Boston, Massachusetts. It was called Take The Bait!
This event allowed members and their family to visit the Aquarium during December school vacation without the crowds. We love the aquarium so to have the opportunity to visit without the crowds was great.
We saw penguins, turtles, shark, jellyfish and many other sea creatures. We also walked the turtle trail, which featured six stops around the Aquarium with live turtles. The kids learned facts about turtles and stamped their turtle passports.
We also saw live animal presentations and visited the Aquarium Medical Center to learn how the Aquarium rehabilitates sick and wounded turtles.
After visiting all of the exhibits, the kids explored sea creatures in the touch tank. They got to hold a starfish and a snail.
The Aquarium is a great place to take the kids for the day or for a few hours. They are open year round. After visiting the Aquarium, you can also walk to Faneuil Hall Market Place and explore the shops. The Frog Pond at Boston Common and playground is also a short drive or T-ride away.
We also took a trip to Boston this past summer for our vacation. You can read about it here…>
